Stall Door what Stall door

Griffin Griffiniv with Starsha, (On Line, 90 mins) Starsha broke her stall door down to rejoin her friends yesterday. So we spent our time working on going through doors in a calm and none excited break things maner. I kept her online all evening. Worked on sacking out stuff and her being tied up away from her friends. She did pretty good, we did have one pull back episode which surprised me, I was repairing the stall door so I had my coordless drill out. She seemed to be pretty cool with it, for about 2 min, then just got tired of it, and decided to pull away a short amount, when she hit the end of her line which was hard tied she really pulled back full force. I was glad I was totally unprepared and kept the drill noise going untill she calmed down, and quit the pull. So even though unexpected I think she learned, hitting the end of the lead line is not a place I can just snap my halter and run off moment. I used my carrot stick with a rag tied on the end, she really is used to it, I tried several things with it, only got mild to no reaction from it. We spent the entire night with friendly game, over and over in several places in the barn. And I have to say she did pretty well. I built a bar for her stall door and want to have her kept in for at least 30 min each night after her friends go out. And vary it between 30 min and one hour every day. I don't want her to assume oh its time for me to rejoin my friends and just get that in her head. The main problem I think is the assumption, so I'm going back to Principle #2, don't make or teach assumptions. Starsha had a long weekend 3 nights in a row where she got to eat and then run with her friends, while I was out of town. With her in in each night a variable time, I think that will do it, I just have to sell the idea to the barn manager who's door got broken last night.
